This growing parking software company which operates in a 24/7 environment across many major UK airports are looking for a hands on Project Manager! We are reinventing the way operators view their parking assets and are already emerging as the UK market leader – we want to welcome on-board a Project Manager that can seamlessly span across operations and tech, who understands the multifaceted nature of this role and where your experience and skills will be utilised to their full potential

The Role

We need you to hit the ground running, taking ownership of the project backlog and managing the workload of your tech coordinators.  You will ensure that new functionality is tested vigorously in an operational environment and delivers to the agreed specification.  It’s a hands-on role which requires you to thoroughly understand the customer’s working environment and requires an articulate individual that has the ability to explain complex technology and processes with ease.

Reporting into the Head of Tech, we need someone to own the delivery of all technical projects.  You will have a proven track record of leading and mentoring a small internal team and managing external suppliers to ensure we deliver excellence time after time to our customers.  You will have experience of handling competing priorities and continuously communicating on progress to all stakeholders

In return we are looking for proven relevant experience gained from working in Project Management, preferably from a logistics or hospitality environment.  You’ll need to have worked closely with end users and development teams and will be a great communicator

Responsibilities

  • Working with customers to bring to life their operational visions and assisting to translate requirements into robust software / hardware solutions
  • Ownership of the project backlog which ranges from application upgrades to implementing new functionality across our suite of applications (PC, mobile, web and bespoke hardware)
  • Coordinating both internal and external resources to ensure high-quality project delivery
  • Scheduling, overseeing and taking responsibility for new implementations; ensuring go live is a smooth process
  • Create and own the implementation project plan, ensuring all facets are covered prior to go live for all 3rd parties
  • Building and maintaining technical and process driven documentation
  • Leading the tech coordinator team, helping to ensure priorities are identified and focussed on
  • Testing new functionality against its desired specification, ensuring there are no bugs or process flaws prior to releasing into the live environment

Profile

  • Minimum of 2 years experience managing projects in a fast paced operational environment
  • Sound technical knowledge within a B2B, SaaS environment
  • Team player, great at building relationships with a hunger to deliver results
  • Experience of working in a process driven operational business with a good understanding of change and release management, risk management, service improvement and incident & problem management
  • Proven track record of spanning the gap between Ops and Tech
  • Experience of managing a very busy workload and project backlog
  • Preferably an Agile Practitioner
  • Demonstrated experience of being ‘hands on’ and leading by example
  • Experience of the parking/logistics industry would be an advantage
  • Full clean driving licence
